Find out if he loves you before you commit to love. It will avoid a great deal of pain later on.

How do you know that you love someone? In order to know that you do love them, you 1st have to know what love is. Have you been loved? Have you felt the complete thrill of knowing you are completely safe with that person, that they would not ever intentionally harm you, that your safety and well being is always at the forefront of their mind? Have you felt it, known that you were loved? Perhaps a parent, sibling, grandparent, friend. If you know what it is to be loved, then you will know whether you are in love. Being "In love", is not the same as loving someone though. Lust and love are not the same. Infatuation and commitment are not the same. Be very careful about flinging the word around. People can easily be confused by what your meaning of love is, and what they believe love to be... Good luck!

I realized I loved him when I realized I would do anything for him. I would have given my life up for him to have his father back. I mean when you find someone who is just a little bit better than you and displays qualities that you admire and wish you had then you realize I love this person. You also realize it when they are all you can think about and you can't imagine your life with anyone else.

The question is, do you love him? OR are you 'in love' with him.
There is a difference. You can love your car, your pet, your Mother, Father, sister, brother. But being 'in love' is a whole different ball game and when you are 'in love' you will definitely know it and not ask anyone elses opinion if you love him or not.
