So V-Day is coming up and I may actually have a b/f for it which will be a first. (We just started dating.) So not only am I new to getting someone something besides friends for Valentine's Day, but we're not completely close yet either. I know that he really likes physical things, but he's a lot more experienced in everything than me. He's very athletic and he's saving to get a new car. Other than that we are still in the small talk stages. I know I still have a couple weeks yet, but if we last that long I want it to be meaningful which requires planning. Please help.. and if you have any further questions please ask! Thanks!

Gift certificates at the gym or local nutrition center or health food store or a spa or sports equipment store or sports events...endless options actually.

Hm, I think guys are so difficult to shop for around Valentines day. Since he is getting a new car, maybe get him like a personalized license plate. What is his sport, or sports? Like, my boyfriend is really big into playing golf, so I got his a thing of personalized golfballs, and he loved it. My boyfriend and I have been together about 10 months, and for Valentine's day I am going to get him some awesome silky boxers, cologne, and I am going to bake him bunches of cookies...he is really athletic, but at the same time, he LOVES sweets. I am also going to go to a few of the adult novelty stores around here and get us some fun stuff to play with in the bedroom, hahah. So I hope this gives you a couple a if ideas. Good luck!

Yes. A lunch date with YOU!
You pay for the lunch - perhaps on a Saturday afternoon.

Make him a card - ok, you may cheat by going to the card section of the store and get great ideas. Guys don't admit it but they never get "handmade" cards - just for them.

Now if you have any money left over (because you might get a new dress for this occasion), get him a small present - yes very small - like candy - you know those little hearts with those "sayings" on them like 'kiss me', etc.

Ask him to dress up - and take him to a nice restaurant but make sure it's a place where the two of you will be comfortable.

Now - for you - Show up wearing that spectacular dress that you look - so great, fine and awesome in.
Wear those stockings, nice jewlery, nice earrrings, and great perfume (if you can get pheromone - which has a different scent on everyone).
Do your nails and makeup - again you will look so fine!

Don't tell him where you're going - unless he's the kind that has to know.

Send him an electronic email card -
free electronic cards - www.123greetings.com - or other site.
- and write your invitation to the lunch with his special girl
as you personalize this electronic greeting card.

HE WILL REMEMBER THIS FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE.
You will be described as "AMAZING" and be remembered by him "and to his friends as he will brag about what you did for him for the rest of your life. His friends will be jealous if their "girls" don't do anything special.

p.s. - don't ever tell him that the idea came from online, it's just between us girls!

GOD bless us one and all, always.

honestly, don't stress out over it. guys don't get near into valentines day as girls do. its more about "what should i get her" than "what is she going to get for me". Frankly, i usually completely forget she busy something for me; i'm generally too worried about what she will think of her present. i would be happy with a long massage or something physical like that. boxers would also be a good present, or cd of his favorite music to listen to while he works out. those are things i would want from a girl.
