First not all Jews are Zionists. Zionism is the belief, espoused by some Jews and Gentiles, that the Jewish people have the right to region of the Middle East that was promised to them in the Bible, or for the Jews, the Torah. Since not all Jews are Zionists, to find fault with Zionism doesn’t make one anti-Semitic.

Zionism and Judaism are completely separate things. One can loathe the former, and still find those who follow the faith of Judaism to be people deserving of respect and dignity. To say that Zionism is synonymous with anti-Semitism is like saying that one hates black people of if they don’t believe in Kwanza.

Anti-Zionism is anti-Semitic once you hate on Israel using fact it relatively is the Jews. If it relatively is for different motives, then it is not anti-Semitic. At many anti-Zionist rallies, there are some signs and indicators that are UNDENIABLY ANTI-SEMITIC. the 1st one that pops into my head is this one the place a burqa'd b*tch holds up a "G-d bless Hitler" sign. It relatively gets my blood boiling. And, no, it is not using Israel that those thoughts are excusable. if so, then it relatively is valid that I hate Muslims for 9/11, 7/7, and the medical care of ladies, Jews, homosexuals, Baha'i, and relatively some, many others throughout their lands. Oh, btw, i do no longer. what's gloomy is that many don't distinguish the be conscious Jew from Zionist or Israel. it is not appropriate what you're saying: they are anti-Semitic, and that they are maximum probable misinformed.

It might not necessarily be anti-semitic, but it usually is. Criticism of Zionism is also ignorant. Every anti-zionist I've ever talked to has been clueless about the history of the middle east as a whole, and known even less about Israel's history. They know only what they've been told by their equally ignorant college teachers and the distortions they hear in the news.

No,criticizing Zionism is not anti semitic..,it's just plain right...as there is nothing wrong in criticizing Nazism. This doesn't make you racist.

This is a clear example of Zionist's mentality:http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/pages/ShArt.jhtml?itemNo=202714

Is criticizing the concept of "Christian Dominion" as proposed by Pat Robertson, Jerry Falwell, and D. James Kennedy anti-Christian, or just plain right??

Any religious group that wants to subjugate / enslave / torture / murder everyone else on the planet in order to enforce their will on the world is just plain WRONG, and OUGHT to be criticized.

BTW- "Jews" are not a race, people. Judaism is a RELIGION.

Question for "It All Matters.~...": If someone believes it's okay to kill everyone of a certain race/religion/etc... Is it still "racist" to criticize them for their beliefs??

Note to Morey: Hitler is a good judge of what makes a race? The fact that HE is the one who "decided" this should make it clear to you that it's BS! Also... Are most Christians in the US very religious? 80% consider themselves Catholic; how many do you think attend mass regularly? Does it make them a race because they're not particularly religious?

Anti-Zionism is almost always anti-Semetic because it is being driven by hatred against Jews. Critics of Isreal's right to exist almost always are singling out Israel for criticism that they would not apply to any other nation. In most cases, they critic supports the nationalism of his own homeland.

The only anti-Zionst criticism that I can accept as not being anti-Semetic would come from religious Jews who are against the Israeli government on religious grounds, or some esoteric philisophical arguments against nationalism in any form.

You can criticize with out being a racist. But, from the "Just plain right" comment, I would say that you are definitely a racist! It is the vein in which you are critical. Not the criticism itself. And you know it don't you? It is never right to condemn someone solely for there beliefs. For their actions when it is harmful to their fellow man, is allowed. But to hate someone simply for the way they believe, or look is not alright.

Unless you're equally critical of every other group that wants to establish a state for themselves.. it's anti-semitic.

Just to point out a response to the previous poster. Jews are both a Religion and a People (race).

In 1940 in Europe, Hitler didn't care what your religious beliefs were. If you were of the Jewish race- you were put to death.

Most Jews living in Israel are not particularly religious, if at all.
