18 years of age or when you become sexually active......which ever comes first. And then once a year EVERY year after that.

I would say if you are sexually active, now would be a good time, I think I was 16 when i went the first time, because my periods were really painful and they put me on birth control, which helped tremendously. Otherwise, I would wait until you were like, 17 or 18..no later than 18, it's smart to start screening for cancer at any age.

I first went when i was about 17 years old and starting to be sexually active. I wanted to get some sort of birth control to be safer.

WHEN YOU FIRST GET YOUR MENSTRUAL PERIOD YOU SHOULD START GOING TO OBGYN, BECAUSE YOUR BODY IS CHANGING AND MANY THINGS ARE HAPPENING TO YOU INCLUDING YOUR MOODS. THIS IS CALLED WOMANHOOD. YOU WANT TO START TO TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF ASAP, ESPECIALLY IF YOUR SEXUALLY ACTIVE.
