I believe we can unite and win now - or we will inevitably be fighting a stronger, better equipped and more united alQaeda in the future - perhaps both in the Middle East and in our own cities.
Despite all of the rhetoric, the simple fact is that they have declared war against America and they're not just going to go away if they perceive a victory in this war.

This is an extremely tough issue. The Democrats and liberals and a slight majority of Republicans all feel we are not winning the war on terror -- the war on Iraq has been over for almost 4 years now and we won that one. What our presence and actions have done in Iraq is to create a convoluted mess of neighborhood ethnic conflicts and a form of civil war. If we pull our troops out of Iraq the nation will implode and the terrorist will have a new breeding ground. Plus -- Iran is probably poised to take over if we leave -- really bad situation but who is to stop them? Bush said we have done a lot of good in Iraq - built new schools, restored much infrastructure where is it now ? Look at the video of the news clips from Bagdad in the background you will see a once famous and beautiful city in complete rubble. You feel we are winning ? We could win but Bush doesn't have the answer. To win we would need total control of the streets , highways and borders along with house-to-house searches confiscating all weapons and explosives. Follow that up with a new system of government designed by the Iraqi's splitting the country up into 3 (or ?) groups equal in power like our States. It's probably more than we could handle but what's the alternative?

Winning is not the Bush goal. If it were, he'd have sent the proper amount of troops and equipment to get the job done. So uniting Americans will not change what is actually on the battlefield of this poorly-fought war.
Most Americans, liberals included, know the war was started with lies. We are losing because the Iraqi people say we are. It is a mess Bush does not have the talent to fix.
Democrats will have to fix it for him.

It is not whether win or lose, it is how you play the game.......the Allies played the game very poorly......after destroying a third world country and their armies with bombs ..........they can't figure out away to win the people....except of course killing more of them (the citizens)........is that winning??.........I think not...........bad leaders make bad wars and bad wars mean that whatever happens there are no winners.
Get over it ..............leave..and live with the consequences of killing hundreds of thousands of people that have nothing to do with the invading army, or their goals in the process providing a training ground that never was but is now for your enemies)- maybe you won;t even get the oil yes the oil you want. What's the big deal? You did to the first nations people of the Americas when you came to north america.......you slaughtered them to get their land and food.........and you bundled them onto what you call reservations..........very noble. It is the American dream; kill people take their wealth and pretend you discovered their land.

spider those are brave words while sitting behind computer , but, if you are serious then get your gun and fight the worst enemy America has ever faced , those who are trying to enslave us and take our country , the same ones who tried to take Germany in the 20s and 30s until Hitler came on the scene, the Zionist, don't confuse the issue many Jews are fighting them as hard as they can but don't have the money nor the influence,as they don't want another Hitler and it is bound to happen ,unless our people stop them first, lets make America the great nation she was originally was no cuttig and running just kick some butt and get it over with,

AMERICA SHOULD ALWAYS "UNITE"! And it isn't necessary to win this war but rather to give the Iraqii people their own freedom to govern themselves.

and when the fit hits the shan ill be ready with my gun and my American pride to fight alongside my AMERICAN brothers and sisters and take our country back
because the simple truth is the Crazy Liberal Mentality is the primary reason WHY radical Islam hates America
