The pill works by making your body think you're pregnant. Take away those hormones and your body does what it would do naturally, and flush itself in preparation for another try at pregnancy. This is perfectly normal.
You should not have stopped your pills entirely; if you had read your info leaflet, it would have said to just take two the next day and use back-up (if you've missed in the 2nd or 3rd week).
Since you've stopped the pill, and if you would like to try it again, you need to start it either the Sunday after your "real" (naturally induced) period starts (probably in about 2 weeks) or on the first day your natural period starts.

Any time you take the pill and then you miss more than 1 day in a row, you will have another period. It's totally normal. Just wait for this period to end, and then start again the sunday after you stop the period...then try your best to take them religiously, at a time you will not forget...like every night after you brush your teeth or something, that way, it's easier to remember.

If you started birth control and stopped suddenly in the middle of a pill pack, sometimes that can trigger a period. After all, the periods you have on the pill aren't really periods, it's just "withdrawal bleeding" from the lining of the uterus shedding in the absence of the hormones (at least that's how it was explained to me).
Best check with your doctor to be sure...

Don't worry.. the hormones in the pill through off ur period when you stop taking them. Start taking them again next month, but make sure it's at a good time. I take mine 10pm daily, mornings are usually kind of hectic. I have mine in my purse and a alarm that goes off daily at 10 to help me remember. And next time if you forget, take it as soon as you remember, and take it as regular. Alot of people dont know that the first month you take the pill your not protected, it takes til the 2nd month for the effects to kick in. And you get really nice boobs!!

You should read the insert that came with your pills. If you miss a pill, you're supposed to take it as soon as you remember, and depending on when that is, sometimes you're supposed to take extras. Your period is starting now because your hormone levels changed suddenly and bizarrely. You're stuck with it. You shouldn't worry, but you should be more careful if you want to take the pill as a birth control method.

Yes. Planned parenthood would probably give them out and/or some parents give their daughter's permission and actually take them to the doctor because they'd rather have them protected from an unwanted pregnancy. Some young girls take them to regulate painful periods and/or to control acne as well.

It's because of the pills! I took birth control pills and if you miss one day, it could make you start again! It sucks...but you should be regular again soon!

Not a period. It's a withdrawal bleed. Give your body a month, the hormones will balance out. No worries :)

You are fine but need to consider a different form of birth control if you have that much trouble remembering to take your pills.

You've just whacked out your hormones. Call your doctor and ask him when you should start the next pack, and you CAN get pregnant in the meantime.
