I have been a teacher for 24 years. I do not give higher marks unless the students earn them. Students need to realize that in life they will not get anything unless there has been work behind it. Sometimes I hear about the test scores/grades not being what the world wants to see; however, I cannot in good conscience bump grades up just to make me look good. The sooner that people realize what life is about, the better off they'll be.

As a teacher, I never did, but I would give a higher grade for students that went over and beyond or if someone discovered a mistake I made and pointed it out. THAT'S when I thought I was doing a good job (students working harder).

I can't speak for all teachers, but I don't.
But if a teacher fails too many students, they generally draw the attention of the school's administration. There is sometimes pressure from higher ups to pass more students.

No, we good students get good grades because we study hard. The teachers are not going to give you good grades for nothing. If you want good grades then study harder. You should respect the teachers for teaching us.

I'm sure that some teachers do. There are a lot of teachers in the world. However, most of the teachers that I know do not do that. That is ridiculous!!

Hmmm. Some may. My friend who teaches in Texarkana doesn't. She grades on what they accomplish. She's an excellent teacher - a lot of kids who never thought they had a talent, have become interested in art because of her and her patience.

i will so sympathize with you. My terrific propose is to no longer visit fee my instructor. regrettably maximum babies who fee instructors have had a topic (in many situations brought about by skill of themselves) and log directly to vent approximately it. considering that's an nameless get entry to they're greater effective hurtful, rude and vicious. maximum babies do no longer even visit the positioning. the advantages come from the job - the coaching, no longer having young babies such as you. as quickly as you may get previous this demanding section you will discover which you grow to be a greater powerful instructor, and start to relish it returned. it extremely is extraordinarily much as in case you're able to desire to recover from what your expectancies have been till now you have been coaching and see the place the actual satisfaction come from. bear in mind additionally, severe college young babies think of actually everyone else is so incorrect and that they comprehend all of it. whilst they graduate they comprehend who grow to be the lecturers that truly did a sturdy job.

yes, some do. Some school districts have a mandatory passing rate, like teachers have to pass 85% of each of their classes and such.
