It's not hard, and she never hurts herself, but when she's sitting with her back up against a wall, she often will rock her head back and fourth and knock her head on the wall. She is a healthy, happy, growing baby otherwise. It's just an odd thing to do. My other child never did this...

The first possibility is its just an odd thing to do, kinda like a phase. She may have a reason you haven't figured out. Keep a calendar handy and write down for one week whenever she seems to do it..if there are certain times of the day when its more noticeable, and the mood she is in. There might be things that could point the reason she is doing this. Maybe its boredom etc.
Also after you have taken notes for a bout one week. I would make her a Drs. appointment adn then take her in with the list of times, and moods you have made, and let the Dr. see it. That way he has more information in case some testing may need done, otherwise at least you have made sure nothing is going undiagnosed.
If it is just a phase..well she'll out grow it at some point.

I have seen many cases like this and the rocking back and forth and hitting in the head are some symptoms that are seen in kids with Autism. I don't really mean to scare you but you should look in to it.Many children grow normally and are normal looking and most of this children are not diagnosed until they are 3 or 4 years old. Ask your pediatrican for more info! Best of luck with everything !
