I know I do... and I am not Muslim, I am Christian! I have muslim friends, and I just get mad when people totally disrespect them. Just curious.

My favorite teacher is Muslim, my closest friends are Muslim, and I don't feel threatened by them, or nothing. I look at them as people, another one of God's creation. Muslims, Christians and Jews all worship the God of Abraham... they are all in a sense God's people.

Why should Muslims apologize for something a few have done?

it feels worse when you a peaceful muslim and people call you a terrorist
i lived in holland where there is a lot of discrimination against muslims... i was in class once and we heard a really loud noise that sounded like a bomb and for some reason everyone stared at ME quitley, and one guy mumbles "terrorist!" what did i have to do with the noise? it wasnt even a bomb!
also once in the airport my dad was holding a big box full of dates (you kno arabs :P.never let go of their dates) and the man asked where we came from, when we said saudi arabia all the security gathered around us and asked my dad what was in the box, he said dates and they didnt believe him. took out their guns and opened the box and then they just let us go!!
and once in houston's airport when the security at the gate asked where we came from we said saudi and they all started "joking": "BOMB ALARM! BOMB ALARM!" and everyone freaked out!! its so embaressing and it pisses me off!!
i cant believe some people are just so ignorant.

I don't "hate" it; I just consider them uninformed, or biased,, stupid or all of the above. I have Muslim friends also. Some people stereotype others--partly, but not entirely--because it makes them feel superior, or "nicer." I get this as an Atheist, that I'm depressed & just scared of god & I'm going to hell. Personally, all that hogwash is water off a duck's back. But I do come back sometimes & get a bit testy when there's people bashing, I don't care WHO they're bashing--even though I know that's exactly what they're looking for! Take the bait! Disrespect is common here.

Edit: I couldn't disagree with rhenry501 more. I have friends from, & in Iran & Iraq. It is absurd to make an absolute statement that they hate us. Maybe some do, as some misguided ---hate Muslims. & I wonder if the Iraqis just MIGHT have valid reasons after we ATTACKED their country? They are far, far worse off now than they were before.

For some people, muslim means terrorist. It proves that they are under educated because it can't be true. But because of a small group of individuals who are proud to show that they are muslims and act like terrorists ,the population will make such a statement.

It would be the same as saying all christians support the USA or are peace keepers or anything else. It is not true.

why are the non terrorist Muslims not speaking out about the rest of the Jihadists. Seems to me the rest are sitting back to see which side is going to win. Here in America if i were to stand there and watch you be murdered, I too would be charged with your murder.
Like the war or not you see all types of Americans saying what's on their mind. Loud and clear you know if we are pro and con on an issue. We form groups, we rally. We rant. I have only seen negative images of Muslims on TV or in the News. When they start to humanize the issues maybe you'll see a difference in people. You see your friends point of view because she is just that a friend. To the rest of us she is a stranger with negative press. This by the way is the very same reason we are hated in Iran and Iraq, because their view of us is excatly as i have just described our view of them.

Yes, and I'm Buddhist. God or no god...honestly why the hell should anyone care. When you start fearing something that hasn't happened, and get paranoid, it affects people around you.

I have a friend who is muslim and he hates being called a terrorist. Man...he's funny, I think George W Bush does cast a crap image over Muslims...so do Howard and Costello.

It infuriates me. I think that is why I stay on YA so much-----to find all these hate mongers so I can give them a piece of my mind. I am not a Muslim, either, and I am so tired of these usually ''holier than thou'' Evangelicals screaming against Muslims.

The more I learn about Islam, the more I think it is a much more logical religion than Christianity. And, Christianity has it radicals, too.

I understand why people do. I mean, I don't call all muslims terrorists, but I have looked at them differently since 9/11. It's a terrible thing and I never make a decision based on it, but I do know that some people do it, and I know where it comes from.

I dont approve of any racism. People of all race and color are great and there is always one person or a small group of people who can make a race look poor. I dont like it but others do have the freedom of speach and I cant impede on them either, but i do ask them to stop if they are using slanderous language for no reason in my precense.

I am a Christian too and I know some Christians that hard core believe that all Muslims are terrorists! It sickens me so badly I just want to scream! Who are they to catergorize one particular group, especially in that type of way. And anyways, there are Christians that have terrorized people (if they can actually call themselves Christians.) I'm glad somebody else is angry about that too.
