I love it!
Unusual name, but spelled in a way that other kids and teachers can figure out!

You know, I usually don't like names that run in this vein, but Ashby... that's actually not bad. Much better than the over used Ashley, and I love the nickname Ash (although it does remind me of Army of Darkness, LOL). It's also nice that there's some meaning behind it.

I think it is sweet! And I'll bet there won't be any Ashby's in her class when she gets older. Also, there will be a great story behind where you came up with the name. My oldest daughter is just six, but already loves the story of how we picked out her name. Her name is Emilee, which of course is a very common name with an unusual spelling. I love the movie The Wizard of Oz, and my husband said absolutely no Oz names, but I tricked him with Emily (as in Auntie Em). He picked the unusaul spelling. Her middle name is Nicole, after a friend of mine. Then I let him name our second daughter, who is Natalee. I dod not like it at first, but I love it now (she's 5). Her middle name is Alyson, after my great-grandmother Alyce. Have fun naming that baby!

I happen to like it a lot. It is different. Pair it up with a one syllable name, like Ashby Lynn, or Ashby May. Or maybe Ashby Louise or Ashby Marie. It has a nice ring to it. Congrats!

I like the name Kaylee, and Abbie. Kaylee means "Is like god" and Abbie means "Joy of the father". I think Ashby is a very cute name, but when you think about the future, Ashby doesn't really match, remember she's going to have to stick with this name her whole life.

It is a very creative and beautiful name. I think you should go with it. If your name wasn't already Tiffany, I would also suggest th name Tiffany Charisse.
Anyways, do not listen to the people who put the name down. If you like it, use it!

Sorry, not my cup of tea. I don't really care for any Ash names though, including Ashley or Ashlyn or Ashton or anything of that nature.

Yeah, not a particular fave. Neither is Ashley. But Ashlynn is nice.
