Why is there so much hate towards white people?

All you ever hear about on the news is crimes commited against blacks.

There is a tremendous amount of crimes the other way around but the media blocks it.

Why is it?

No that the truth is out about the duke case you don't hear much about it.

The black racists like jesse jackson are quiet and so is the media.

But you sure did hear alot about the "Kramer" ordeal

Amazing how these double standars really are.

How about the guy giving a speech on "eliminating white people"
That was at a college and all over CNN. But that is okay.

Its because the NAACP. They keep pushing for black rights just because no one has stopped them. Sure there is still some redneck hicks that are against the blacks but it's the same against the whites (black panthers ring a bell). None of the black population today has had to go through slavery, or even a fraction of what they went through while fighting for civil rights. I have Zero tolerance for Jesse Jackson anyway. I don't think it's fair that just because your black you can get into Princeton with a 2.0 average. People work hard to get where they're at and it's not fair that anyone could use their race to get something like that. Why don't they have scholarships for white kids just cause there white? They have it for every other race.

I think that it is the other way around a lot of times.. although, it is strange that it is a bigger deal when someone who is white murders someone (it then becomes national news). In a city near where I live (Baltimore, MD) there are a lot of black people who commit murder and hardly get any media exposure and that is just locally.. it doesn't make national news. I guess people think it is cause for panic when it happens in a place it doesn't usually happen? No matter what, murder is a big deal. I think it is a little ridiculous that a guy who used to stay with me was killed outside of a bar (was beaten to death with a bat and robbed) and there was never any investigation done nor was it ever on the news.. Murder and other serious crimes are all equally horrible and why some stories really get exposure vs. others is beyond me.

That's not true, I see lots of news report of crimes committed BY Blacks. Occaisionally, there are hideous hate crimes reported like the one in Jasper, Texas.

I don't consider it okay. Racism goes both ways. Yes, Blacks can be racist too but doesn't mean Whites are no longer racists. Look at the questions that flood over here on Yahoo Answers!

First of all, I am a Black woman and from my circle, since I can't speak for all Blacks, there is not much hatred towards whites who are not racist, just as there is not much hatred towards Blacks that are not racist. There is not much holding grudges against the past due to slavery; HOWEVER, there are some white people who still feel that Blacks are beneath others and not realizing that we ARE all equal, but because of the Good ol' boys and those that still feel that the race is not equal, Blacks still recieve substandard treatment in the workforce, and as a Black woman, I get the shaft more so, not only do I have to prove myself in a white world, I also have to prove myself as a woman, so the hatred goes both ways, but you only hear the negative that society has created, which is the Blacks are the ones who are trouble makers.

Why is there hate for White People you asked? i do not think that is true but if you listen to the media, when people break the Law, no matter what race they are from, they will be punished with the full extent of the Law. I believe that to be true. but if some people be it White or whatever nationality, are being harrassed for it I think that is not right and the people like the President or the Law should try and correct this before it gets out of hand.

If the media is blocking information about blacks and crimes then why does most of white America think that crime has an exclusively black face? Who is communicating that message if not the media?

I'm a black guy (though i do live in Canada) and i have to agree with you totally.. It is a double standard. And i strongly believe it is because of whites history. Because whites are the "majority" they are to abide by a moral standard of conduct while the "minorities" will be given leanency (that includes Asians, Mexicans, etc). Whites also have a terrible, bloody history..not just the whole civil rights movement but also salvery, destroying indians, etc...it isnt pretty. In a way, whites are kind of on self-probabtion on themselves and the minorities take advatnage of that to remind them. But i think the biggest tihng is that the media LOVES controversy and so they like to blow it up so that it can become something of a big deal to the public so as to "remind" society that "ah oh, we are reverting back to our evil days"....its all to sell more ads....As a business man i know i would do the same thing to make money.

You know, i honestly hate this "cry wolf" thing that i see alot of blacks use...I DESPISE IT! I mean, i never have used it and i am in the process of making my own biotech company while my twin brother is in med school and my mom is a surgeon at Vic and my dad is a retried civil engineer (bridges). I personally think that when those blacks (not all though) grow up then they will stop using this "get out of jail" card to get by in life.

One thing i also hate is the special treatment for minorities....I can see why they do it (and sadly, i think it should be here for the trime being) but it is a bit embarassing...I certainly would be insulted if i was given special treatment to get into university or whatever....but when i think about it i certainly can see the importance of it...especially something like the equal opportunity for jobs...oh my god, i sooo know alot of companies would not hire women and minorities if they didnt have to....and sadly, i would be one of those who didnt hire them either....how strange is that?

It is a Liberal attitude aimed at the American culture. If they can demonize everything American, then they might be able to replace or government with a Communist government.
It is amazing that despite all the overwhelming failures of Socialism, that Liberals still want to try to Socialize the USA.
They completely disregard the fact that so many wonderful accomplishment of this nation, due to its freedom, has been able to improve the lives of the rest of the world. So they want to turn the USA into another Cuba. Go figure!

Because white people are basically in power right now and white people did, for the most part, forcibly remove black people from their countries and used them as slaves for an extended period of time. A double standard between the two is not that hard to believe because the two races have different histories and everything.

Now going to your first question, I think we should hear about any significant act of hatred against people. I think overlooking prejudice towards the majority could lead to serious problems as the nation further evolves and black people gain more power.
