The best place to start is your Regional Building Department. They can give you an idea of what cost should be based on the type of work or square footage. Here in Colorado it's about $74/sq. ft. for new construction. The best course is for you to be the "owner builder" this is a building permit that you can get yourself. Then hire people to do specific work yourself, like framing, plumbing and electrical ect. Before you hire someone ask for references. Because you have the permit under "owner builder" your family or neighbor or friend can do the work and not have to pay high prices for a licensed journeyman to do electrical or plumbing ect. When the work is done, such as the electrical or plumbing you call for the inspector to check it. Don't worry the inspector is there to help you and will instruct you on the proper installation. When I work on things I don't understand I ask the Inspectors to come out and show me what I need to do and they are happy to help. So don't be apprehensive. Just figure what you want, call the building dept and get a permit.

i do not know what area of your house you would like to redocorate. sometimes, moving the furniture around adds another dimension to your house.
change the curtains or drapes, add accents like a chair and a table by the wall and put a grouping of candles on it. on the floor, get a couple of teak trunks made of bamboo and use them as side tables.
put an area rug in front of your coach and use one of the trunks as your coffee table.
also, add plants!!! in the corners of your house, place a palm and put the pot inside a nice plant container. add throw pillows on your coach and easy chairs.
if you want to make your area look large and spacious, put a big mirror on one of your walls. this will add depth to the room. on another wall, get a grouping of pictures that you can put up in different levels. adding a lamp on one of the side tables would give the area more light and a group of family pictures with nice picture frames on top of a long table would look good.
just remember, little things go a long way...adding little accessories here and there, grouping of frames and candles and moving things around remake a whole room when your budget is limited.

no hyperlinks or photographs, yet this concept is large, in certainty in case you have wood flooring you have lights popping out from the flooring and then on the partitions i nsome aptches you jsut fill it up wit hmagazine clippings so yo ucan see no wall, it seems relatively cool. you're able to do it top nonetheless ++ additionally yet an option decision is to get your room designed by using sharps or laura ashley or sometihng :D
