I want to make a LAN with one friend.What are the settings i have to do to make the connection?Its something with the IP adresses but its to complicated to remember from a guy that told it to me at a market.

First, You will need a 'crossover' ethernet cable, or a router to do this for you if you only have a traditional ethernet cable.

Second - If no router, manually set the ip addresses on the adapter. One needs to be 192.168.1.1 and the other 192.168.1.2. Both will have a mask of 255.255.255.0. Forget about everything else.

Make sure you properly set firewall to allow specific traffic (file sharing), or nothing will happen. (most common mistake)

You go to your friend's house, and plug your computer into his router with your ethernet cable. Then you are on his LAN. Alternately, you could go get yourself a router, and your friend can visit you with his ethernet cable, plugged into your router, which will be your LAN.
