How often should I relpace my basketball shoes?

I am an 8th grade girl and I play ALOT. We have a team of 7.

or if you use the shoes not only for basketball but for everyday life

I have a seperate pair for basketball and a seperate pair for regular use. The basketball shoes I replace atleast twice a season, sometimes 3X. They wear out slower if you only wear them during basketball.

It depends how fast they wear out. That's what I base it on. My season is 7 months long and I practice 3-5 hours a day, 5 days in a week so I wear them out faster than you probably would.

Normally, shoes last about 6 months for fit. But, if you're using them a great deal, I'd advise you to replace them once the soles start becoming worn and smooth. Another way to tell that they need to be replaced is if the shoes themselves are becoming "comfortable", i.e., they are becoming loose-fitting while you are wearing them.

Replace your shoes when the tread does not give traction or when the cushioning "bottoms out" and does not feel good any more. I am glad you are playing enough to wear them out often. The girls I coach don't play/practice enough to wear shoes out in a year.
