can some1 plz tell me the DEAL with World of warcraft patches? like, once u buy the cd, do u have 2 download patches? can some 1 plz tell me why, and how and where? Cuz, do u need 2 download them, and why? lol and aalso anything else u may think usefull for som 1 who wants 2 buy the game (i know NOTHING about the patches, never even heard of other than 2day) plz tell me everything u know, thanks 4 ur time =)

After you install the game, you create your username and try to log on. it will tell you you have patches to download and then you just click download. Very simple.

Yes you do have to download them. The reason they have those patches is because they are updating the game all of the time. They change all sorts of things like how the world looks, what characters can access, what the characters stats and skills are and do, and too many other things to list. Trust me you want to go through the trouble of downloading the patches it is a very fun game. Beware though it is a very very addicting game and you will have a hard time getting yourself to stop playing. Have fun and happy gaming.

Companies put out patches for their games for a few reasons. One is to fix bugs, and other things that were wrong in the game before, another is to add items that weren't in the game before. A patch could be added to help out to try and stop people from cheating in a certain game.

yes you do have to download them cuz they came out after the game itself came out. they are a big pain (just went through with it for WoW) but you have to. once you install the game it will automatically patch it. if it doesnt work go to blizzards help page and fix the problem. happy gamin! WoW rocks! =)
