First we have to stop racism in the media. Channels like BET need to be removed from the air, all it does is help seclude blacks from everyone else, and that in turn fuels racism. MTV is fine it just needs to get it's act together, it needs to stop racist shows like, The White Rapper Show, and or that Ice-T show, MTV affects the youth tremendously, they know this, and they need to take responsibility for it. Comedy Central needs more shows like Chapelles Show, that show was great in addressing streotypes and making them look foolish. Of course racism starts in the household, but the media plays a big part in shaping the youth.

There is a song written some years ago with a line in it which goes something like "What we need is a great big melting pot" it was referring to racism and saying if only we could put everyone in this pot and make them all come out the same racism would end, It's not going to happen, but if everyone could only see that we are all the same under the skin that would be great. I have experienced racism and I am white it makes no difference what colour you are someone somewhere will have a go because you are different from them it isn't only white people who are against other colours the other colours also against whites and unfortunately I don't know how to stop it Back to your idea do you really think rewarding the black community will make the white community like them more the answer to that is a definite NO

Do away with organizations that represent one ethnicity over all others. Do away with special interest months ie., Pan-Pacific Asian Herritage Month. Do away with hyphenations. Recognize that we are all one. Teach our children to be respectful, kind and loving.

Reading through some of the responses shows people's ignorance. "Caucasian History?" Pul-ease! AND, since when does only one race have the market cornered on having been held back/down? Half of my family is American Indian. You came here, you stole from us. you declared war on us when we tried to protect what was ours and you instituted ethnic cleansings against us! If it's such a "Free" country, and you're so held back, then how many are still living on th plantation VS the Reservation? And you are ALL apart of this history.

Your suggestion will not eliminate racism; it may actually promote it. The "positive contributition" of White men (like our Presidents) in American history are already recognized in schools. Minority groups, however, are overlooked more often.
There is no way to stop as there are always close-minded individuals who blind themselves with hatred. However to reduce it, children can be taught at an early age to tolerate those that are different from them.

nothing we will ever do will ever end racism, but we could start by changing the curriculum that is taught in high school history because that is not the true history, Caucasians are given credit for many things they didn't do....and lets be semi intelligent with out questions by not making comments about how we should stop racism by stopping "racist" movie producers

I don't think you can do much, if you watch comedy central stand-ups, there jokes always include racism on what race they are, unless they are white. Racism is a big thing now, serious or not.

Well...to stop Racism..that would be difficult to answer. first, we must embrace diversity. How do you embrace diversity?...you teach that it's ok to be different, and respect that people of color are culturally different from caucasians. Do not stereotype people or allow stereoetypes to enter your mind. Treat each person as a human being insted of judging them by the color of their skin. Only then. can racism be overcome.

Start with the children. Teach them tolerance. Maybe in 100 or so generations it will catch on. Or move to Canada.

Blinding everyone won't work, then they'll base it on height.
The only true to eliminate racism is to have only one person on Earth, it's not practical, but true.
