What kind of faults would you expect to be most common along the mid-atlantic ridge? eplain.

Most faults are oblique combinations
Normal faults-result from stretching a region
Thrust or reverse faults result from compressing a region
Strike-slip faults result from sliding one region past another.
The San Andreas fault is the result of two plates, shifting against each other, Think of two freight trains sitting on two tracks beside each other, each facing in the opposite direction. of course moving so slowly you cannot see movement.

this is just a guess, but I'm thinking that since the ridge is kind of like a mountain, I'm going to have to go with Thrust.
