No..... The lead singer, Amy Lee, states that she IS a Christian, but the band isn't a Christian band. I used to wonder that too. There's a website called www.notachristianband.com (......) that gives a bunch of pretty stupid reasons why they're not a Christian band. Evanescence rocks though!!!!

Amy Lee, the lead singer of Evanescence had to justify rumors a few years back (when Fallen debuted) that they were NOT Christian. They were pulled off of Christian shelves because of it.

No, Evanescance is too darkish to be a Christian band. no longer that i will label them. yet they were on a Christian rock CD because "convey Me To existence" must be tied to God. Supposivly, Amy Lee follows no faith

They supposedly started out as a Christian band and then reportedly had all their cds pulled out of Christian stores.

The lead singer at least is a strong christian and it definitely has christian undertones, but it's not officially classified as christian music.

not a christian band but people think that because amy lee and ben moody meet at a christian camp through their church when they were younger i believe
