without knowing exactly what you did or what model router you are using it is very hard to help.

I can only suggest this.

1) turn off any WEP or WAP secuity to see if that corrects the problem. (In router and on laptop)

2) make sure you have DHCP enabled

3) if non of that work reset the router. to do this hold in the reset button while disconnecting power. still holding in the reset button count to 5 and plug power back in and then let go of the reset button.

Damm dude. This happened to me once. I on the bottom right it pops up and says limited or no connectivity and stuff. Well i couldnt fix it and i took it to best buy and they couldnt fix it either so i had to get a new one. Try to put settings to default then just keep reseting the router .

And the tech support dont work .....They will just tell you to restart your computer and what not..
Good luck with it.

so go back to the beginning...concentrate on getting the laptop reconnected first...did you remember what the settings were before you changed them? The router needs to be broadcasting its SSID and make sure the encryption key matches the router and the laptop network connection...run the router wizard, then run the wireless network wizard on the laptop.

From personal experience, return it.... I have had nothing but trouble with D-link products, they keep locking up.

I have switched to linksys and all the troubles went away....

More to your problem.

This happens with an IP not being assigned....

On the router, change the dhcp to enable.....

On the computer request a new ip address from the router.....

ipconfig -release <= release what you have
ipconfig -renew <= get another one
new on 2k /xp at the command line....

start run
cmd

I've got a linksys wireless router and have had the same problem. Try this: Click on " Start". then click on " Connect to". then click on "wireless network: When you click on it box will open. When it opens click on the " Support" tab.(at the top) after that in the middle of the box you will see a button that says "Repair" Click that button. Hopefully this will fix your problem. Before you do it thought make sure your D link is turned on.
