There was a post on here from a woman that is upset that at the end of the year they are taking her universal health care cost out of her tax refund check at the end of the year.

This just didn't make any sense to me. Why should I, as a taxpayer, be required to be financially responsible for those that couldn't be responsible themselves?

I waited to have kids...I waited until I could financially supprt them without a handout. I was careful when I was younger to NOT have children that I couldn't afford.

Why should I be financially responsible for those they are not responsible for their own actions.

The whole thing just makes me angry. How is someone going to complain about getting less of a refund after we as taxpayers financed her childs healthcare all year??

We need welfare reform in a serious way!

I agree with you 100%. The entire deal chaffs my ***. I think welfare should be for people that earned it. If you don't work, can't work (which is BS, everyone can do something) then you don't get benefits. there should be a time limit on well fare, and there should be a payback program for the benefits you receive either through labor, or actual repayments from your current pay. If you can't work, then you should give up your right to reproduce. If you are healthy enough to procreate you are well enough to work. If you are not well enough to work, then obviously you are not well enough to care for your children.

No I imagine it would be very hard. I'm confused in order to even get a tax refund wouldn't that person have to be working at some time? and not every body wants to live on welfare and yes I would imagine it is very hard to pay rent and food and all the rest. What if that person really wants to work but just can't maybe they are disabled?
You know
The fat cats are the ones who really rip off the country with our blessings (I mean votes) Trim lots of extras there leave the poor people alone. You too could end up there through some major misfortune and then you might think differently

Piss on the leach. I am at working supporting HER lazy azz, while she is at home in bed making more kids she can't afford, the ONLY reason she keeps kicking the out is for more of our money. I am waiting for the day, for those to get hit in the pocketbook, or get cut off....they are nothing but breeders and we allow this.

It's a problem alright, but understand that this problem pales in contrast to all that Washington, DC wastes on itself every year. Don't let politicians play the scapegoat game for their mishandling of your money. They would like you to blame it all on "those people" as to deflect the responsability off of themselves. There are pleenty of lazy people getting benefits, but the real culprits have the titles of Sen. and Rep. We do need more welfare reform, but we also need less federal spending EVERYWHERE.

Yes, it upsets me. Especially since many who are on welfare are women who had kids because they figured they could go on welfare. They somehow feel that they are due that money and purposefully place themselves in a bad situation in order to receive it.

People here are going to cry for the poor, innocent kids, saying that they are victims here and it's not their fault what their mothers did. But if you feel sorry for the kids, then put the money into adoption centers instead of giving it to the slacker, skanky mothers.

I agree that there are too many people out there abusing the system, but I refuse to let a child suffer because his or her parent is a lazy bloodsucker. If the alternative is letting their children go without food, clothing, shelter or health care- then I'll gladly pay the taxes anyway, even though I have no children of my own. C'est la vie!

Well, it makes me angry that these people are collecting welfare when there is a shortage of workers(which is the situation in the west).

I am more concerned about corporate welfare and the endless quantity of unecessary defense spending...that's where the real welfare dollars are being spent.

they feel entitled to everything for free. i work for the government assisting rental housing and these people think they should be living in luxury homes instead of just a roof over their heads.
