Who invented the typing keyboard and why did he arrange the letters as he/she did?

The keyboard arrangement was developed by Christopher Sholes. The letters are arranged that way in order to slow down the typist so the typewriter wouldn't jam.

It is none as the QWERTY keyboard because if the first 6 letters in the top row

Apparently Henry Mill, who created the typewriter had some problems with the letters being in alphabetical order...the keys would jam. So he moved the keys around so that it would work perfectly.
