Of all the Star Trek series', who is your favourite character or characters, and why?

As for me, I think it's 7 of 9 because she has such a mix of strength and vulnerability; and although she seems to have originally been groomed to be a mega-sex-object her personal evolution makes you forget that and just really love her for her complex nature.... and I think it's that study of humanity against technological perfection that makes Star Trek great overall

Never has a character been a mirror to human emotions and reactions so much AND at the same time he was the perfect example of an individual striving to be more than just the sum of their own parts.
We as human beings spend our entire lives striving to become MORE than just what our parents taught us, and in 7 years on the air, we saw the 'Doctor' go through just that. He started at as nothing more than a collection of programs and files and over time he evolved into a fully functional being.

Major: Spock was my favorite character and then Data. Minor: Garak was pretty cool. Not a regular character: I loved Lwaxana Troi (portrayed by actress Majel Barrett, real life widow of television director/producer/writer and Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry) My favorite overall is still Spock.

Lt. Commander Data with out a doubt. All my fav episodes are about the character. I have named all my beta fish after data... Yes Data the betta (grin) I even cried during the last movie... when he died, that other android wasnt the same, isnt that silly!
