Sorry - I have been trying for about 12 months now. I use a saliva ovulation kit according which I do ovulate every month. I have a 30-33 day cycle (although it was quite long - around 40 days - up till June 2006). We have sex every day or ever other day before, during and after ovulation. I keep a pillow under my hips for at least 20 minutes after sex. And no, I am not on Clomid yet. I have an appointment with a specialist in April but I just hate the thought of fertility treatment and drugs etc.

You didn't mention how long you had been trying. Or if you were using any extra methods yet (i.e. clomid, seeing doctors, etc.)

First off, probably for the first year (I don' think docs like to see you until you've been trying unsuccessfully for a year), do everything you can in your power. Sex every other night during the month, sit for 20 mins after, elevate your butt. If you've been doing that for a while, maybe try to take a break (I've heard couples have been successful with that, too).

The next steps would be to get the ovulation monitor from the drugstore...maybe chart your temps.

After that, try the docs, maybe the clomid. Hopefully it happens before that.

Sounds like you are doing all the right things. The specialist may be able to give you something else to try and help with falling pregnant before he/she prescribes fertility drugs.
All I can add is you are not alone on the TTC rollercoaster.
Best of luck.

Try to conceive only when you're ovulating...if you don't know when that is, try an ovulation kit. Don't try too hard or too often...it reduces the sperm count, which reduces your chances....while you are waiting, think about baby names, decorations, etc......anything to try not to worry.....I know you can't help but think about it, but try not to let it consume you....
