If the Earth's axial tilt was zero, we would not have seasons.

true. we have longer summers and quick winters on the north hemisphere because the tilt is uneven. just think if there was no tilt it would be 50 degrees in july. but also 50 in december ... ill take my seasons.

Almost completely true.
The Earth's orbit is an ellipse which does play a minor role in our seasons.
The northern hemisphere's winter is the time of closest approach to the sun.
(I wonder if this plays a role in the fact that the southern hemisphere's winters are colder.)

Sure enough. to make yourself a season, you'd have to travel north or south.
