i am a saints fan too. it's not right what they were saying. all we had were the saints. we've been loyal to them and now we're finally getting something back. we're going all the way next year. the team will be more experienced and more comfortable. congrats to the bears. good luck. lets not blame all the bears fans though. some of them are being extremely nice congradulating us on our season.

I am sorry for what happened to New Orleans last year. I personally have donated and given all I can to help. I am glad that you got an escape from the tragedy that you faced. In fact, with all of the money that has been spent on the war and sent to help other countries we could have put it into getting people back on their feet again.
The Saints had a great season. I have a lot of respect for what they accoplished this year. In fact, a kid I coached a long time ago is a rookie on the team. This was about a football game, plain and simple. I have respect for the Saints, but everyone jumped on the Saints bandwagon for the wrong reason. Hurricane Katrina had NOTHING to do with this game. I am a lifelong Bears fan, and rooted for my team. If that makes me a bad person, well then guilty as charged. I saw many Saints fans saying horrible things about Chicago and their fans, but I guess that was o.k.
If you want to know what people really think about what is going on in New Orleans, that is another discussion all together, and not for the sports area of Yahoo.

Okay, I am now completely convinced this "katrina trash talking" is completely in your own mind. I would never condone any Bears fan talking that way, but I'm not seeing anyone doing anything like that.
If you can show Bears fans doing this, I'll comdemn it every time but I'm seeing a lot of Saints fans climbing up on crosses all on their own. Thank you to the Saints fans who are admitting it was a matter of the better team winning and good luck for next year.

Do you know any real sports fans? People just trash talk because it's fun and part of the game. What is the fun of watching a game if you don't have a little back and forth going to make it more interesting?
Why do people make fun of New Jersey calling us a bunch of mobsters when that is so far from the truth. It's nothing personal...it's people being people.
And I am so glad you can transcend all of this, you are really the bigger person.

This is how childish people act. It's too bad the Saints could not pull it out. It would have been a great thing for the Fans and a city that needs something good!!! The Saints had a great year and should be proud!!! Too many people on here that don't know what good sportsmanship is!!!

I'm only bashing the Saints' fan that talked trash before the game. I would never incorporate my rants by bashing the city because of Katrina or its economic situation.

Don't take their ignorance to heart, a lot of Chicagoans have feelings of respect for the Saints, and hope you're doing well soon. Take care, sluggo.

If you don't want to hear trash talking you shouldn't watch football, it's the name of the game
