Hi:
Most artists at some times have this too, it is a creative block where for some circumstances, you just can't think of a project to make. It's sort of like someone stridently demanding to you 'be creative and wonderful' and you just can't. Sort of like how the people on Project Runway and Top Chef feel every week. If you've never experienced this feeling, you are lucky, but you probably will at some point in your life. When I get this feeling, I try to envision a muse tenderly whispering in my ear some encouraging words. That sometimes can help, it also helps to try to think about something else and let the thought process in the back burners of your noggin.

it's when (1) your mind goes blank, no idea of what to write (2) you have an idea but your mind can't form words around it. there are more forms too, different for each kind of writer.

It's when the article, story, or scene has a problem and your subconscious knows it and refuses to let your write anything. Once you figure out what is wrong, everything will flow again!

It's like temporarily spacing out . Knowing what you mean to say , but the words aren't there at the moment .
