He he he, good times. My first CD was a gift for my 10th birthday. The original Dream CD. They don't even have the same people in the group anymore!

It was the first Hanson album when I was in middle school, and it was a gift because I was only, like, 12, and I had no means of earning money.
Aw... fond memories. I'm sure I still have it somewhere.

When I got my first CD player as a gift from my parents, my parents also got me 5 CDs to go with it. The two I remember are the debut CDs from Mariah Carey and Wilson Phillips.

I gave it as a gift to myself.
And my first vinyl was a 45" single: Electric Light Orchestra "Last Train to London" that I bought when I was just a child.

I was almost 21 before I owned a CD, so I don't even remember which ones my husband picked up for us.... but the first tape I bought with my very own money I made babysitting was the "Footloose" Soundtrack!

hmm, I can't remember. I shared alot of things with my family, but maybe the first one that I owned? Maybe a Tiffany CD that I bought when I was 16 for Christmas.

I've been buying them for twenty years now and have about 600 of them. The first two I bought were Avalon by Roxy Music and Declaration by The Alarm.
