If you are against abortion or causing your own miscarriage, please do not comment this is very serious and right now the b/s isn't necessary. I have a friend that recently went to the doctor to have an STD exam, there is a possibility that she could be infected with gonheria or chlamydia. The doctors also told her she was 13 weeks pregnant. She doesn't want a child right now. It was a surprise becasue her stomach is the same size and she also been taking birth control for the entire 13 weeks of her pregnancy. She now tries home abortion rememdies because she has no money to afford a medical abortion. She overdoses on birth control, taking up to 4 to 5 pills a day. She also takes dietary supplents that contain ascobic acid 15 pills a day, that is suppose to be dangerous to a fetus. i am worried because she complains of cramping and she is spotting. Could her infecton be causing this problem or the home abortion rememdies, or both? Does any of these thing cause abortion?

Your friend is taking needless and irresponsible risks with her own health - and as her friend, it is your duty to tell her so. If she won't listen to you, tell her parents. Overdosing, even on birth control pills, is serious business - better for your friend to be mad at you than for to be dead.
Please tell her to go to a free clinic or call a crisis pregnancy hotline if she can't afford proper medical care; there are other options other than the ridiculous measures she's taking.

I am a nurse, There are free clinics all over! I don't know where you live, but i would suggest contacting the planned parent hood, Health department, Department of Human Resources, etc... and find a place to get your friend some professional help! She is not doing her self any favors with the attempts on self inflicted attempts at abortion. The possibilities of having a deformed, or mentally or physically impaired child which could suffer profusely for many years to come is very likely. There are several horrible things that could happen to her and the baby, that could be far more devastating than she could even imagine!

She can give it up for adoption because in tha long run she just may have a handicaped baby that will be harder to take care of. Most people do not show when they are 13 weeks. I too was on Birth control until i found out at 3 months and my baby is fine. The further a long (for most people) you get the more you appreciate the little life inside of you. and this may cause harm to her.

Your friend is being very irresponsible. You need to tell her she could make the situation a lot worse. If she doesn't want it fine, give it up for adoption, hundreds of people would love it. She needs to know and understand the things she is doing could cause herself harm or death, and could cause the baby to be born with countless medical problems. Now wouldn't that make her feel better. Tell her to grow up.

I do not endose abortion in any way (I am pro life). But your friend's choices of medications are likely only to cause birth defects and that is not fair to the child. Tell your friend to go to the local pubic aid (often called human services, you can find them by calling a health dept and asking for their number). Public aid will issue her a medical card to pay for medical expenses. Also if you have a planned parenthood in your area (most areas do) she can go there and ask about options. They are Pro-Choice, they will be able to help her. *is appauled at herself for helping in this in anyway*

i could be both. but even if she does have an abortion, she will still have to go to the hospital to make sure that all of the placinta came out. and if there is any other harm done to her body by all of the pills that she has taken. so she could be paying a hospital bill, instead of an abortion bill.

Is the home "abortion" methods, she's going to end up killing herself if she keeps it up and if she doesnt' she'll never have kids again, ever.... I'd tell her parents if you're her real friend. Or I'd tell a guidence counsellor and have them tell her parents as long as they kept it a secret that you told. You have to tell someone tho... how are you going to feel when they find her dead and you could have prevented it? You have to live with that the rest of your life.

I`m against abortion, especially when you try to do "it" yourself, but What I have to say is important..With all the stuff she is taking....if it does not kill the baby , then she will have one really messed up baby..Please explain to her that it could also hurt her permanently..She needs to tell someone and get the proper treatment...
