The industrial hurts more I have been told because of it going through the cartilage part of the ear. The belly button doesn't hurt much as long as you keep it clean and watch for getting it snagged on your clothes.

I have both pierced and have had them done for 8 years.If I were to chose I would have to say that the nose hurt a little more than the belly button.You hardly have any skin to penetrate with your belly.With the nose the skin is a little thicker.It's nothing unbearable by any means.You just have to go to a reputable place to have it done and then you should get it done with a needle,not a gun.Hope this helps you out.

I haven't had an industrial piercing but I did have one cartilage piercing in March of last year.I had to take it out during December for surgery and it closed back up after months of being swollen and hurting.So be careful if you get an industrial cause they can be a real pain.

My belly button didn't hurt AT ALL. It was just some pressure then a *POP* and it was done. A lil sore for a few days after. My nipple hurt the worst even in comparison to my *ahem* you know. Goodluck!

what body part is industrial? well, whichever is least invasive...most likely hurts less.
