I know not all guys are 'dogs'... but at school and just everywhere else there are guys who say disgusting and innapropriote things to me or a friend. My best friend is a guy, and he thinks it's the media pressuring guys to be a certain way. He is not the type that yells, "Nice ***! Can I slap it for you?! I'll make you come back for more!" he's the type that actually has eye contact with you and doesn't look else-where. Just curious?

He isn't gay by anymeans... I know from his actions and sometimes I find it cute that he tries to hide his 'affection' for a woman.

At that age, boys are trying to impress their friends by making cheap shots at girls. It makes them feel big. When actually it makes them very small.

It's great you have a friend that will look you in the eye and treats you as a person. I hope he doesn't change.

Just a few possibilities for you - there are SO many others:

1. Bad examples set for them by their parents (specifically how the father treats the mother)
2. Lack of positive role models, specifically in music.
3. Society as a whole is a lot less respectful these days partly due to the breakdown of traditional male/female roles.
4. People are not ostracized when they behave badly. All sorts of behavior is tolerated and therefore becomes acceptable.
5. Women's standard have dropped to a level where they do not demand good behavior from men.

You get the idea..

For thousands of years women have been regarded as property rather than as people. In the Bible women are listed as a man's possessions along with his sheep, cattle, oxen, camels, etc. But things are rapidly changing and today's women should insist on being treated as equals by the men they meet. The flip side is that women must behave like equals, such as reaching for the check in a restaurant just as fast as the man does. Some constipated old-fashioned men cannot adjust to this new world. If the man you are with cannot deal with your equality, dump him and move on. By being an equal you will earn and receive respect from the kind of men worth having in your life. The other kind are losers you can leave behind you.

Pretty simple. I always treated girls like ladies and I never had a date until I was 22. All the rude guys always had girls following them like puppies. They learn from experience. I finally found someone. But I will always remember that. I said If I had it to do over, I would be a jerk too. It is what you apparently want. The guy that keeps bugging you finally wears you down and you go with them. Don't deny this. By the way, with that name, what do you expect.

Well considering how women have no problem trashing men.

It is kind of two way street.

We have "women studies in college" that teach things like all sex is rape.

Take a look how TV protrays men in the home as the dummies.

You wanted equal right and treated the same as men.

Well maybe women should treat men with a little more respect from time to time.

the women whom the guy has dealt with in the past has allowed this behavior. So that has given the guy a go ahead that it's okay to say things like that. It's like more power to his ego.

I treat women as equals to me. I wouldn't say things like that. Probably those people that said it were drunk or high or were naturally loud-mouthed, people with no breeding.
