I would find out what he likes, for instance does he like to play the guitar, have a favorite band, you might want to buy a cool shirt with his favorite band on the front, or a cool looking guitar strap. Does he have a collection of something say baseball cards, books he reads, accessories to go with his I pod, cell phone case, wallet, wax car kit, blockbuster coupons, gift certificate to his favorite restaurant, hair salon. a photo album with a picture of you. well, I gave my honey a kinda crazy gift last year. I bought a plate with a cool design on it and a treasure chest/jewlery box to put on top and a cool little figurine to set next to the chest on top of the plate to make it look like sunken treasure and then I bought gold rocks and wrote little things I loved about him on each one of the rocks and put them in the chest and hid it in the house. (using a black permanent marker and then I spray painted them with a sealer like clear sparay paint or they have art sealer spray you could use also) On v day he got a wine bottle with a paper in it. On the paper I made a treasure map for him to find his gift. I'd only use this one of you've been dating a while however. It might creep someone you didn't know very well out a little.

It kind of depends on what type of guy he is or personality he has,once I gave (my husband at the time) a yellow rose (for friendship) and he really liked it because (for one he was an artist-tattoo artist to be exact)men NEVER get flowers(stereo-typical),so maybe ,if your guy likes to break out of the norm once in awhile,try giving him a red rose for love and the yellow one for friendship,together.Who kniws you may find out a little more about his character that way too!!

A nice zippo with his intials engraved into it. You can also get flasks and money clips as well as a lot of other things engraved if hes not a smoker or drinker. I bought a guy red silk boxers once.

If you want something not too expensive, you can make either a scrapbook or a video (windows movie maker), maybe even a pillowcase with your photograph printed on it... if you want something else, you can get him a wallet, or a frame, or maybe a digital frame... hope this helps
