Hi there...There's an international airport in Guangzhou but I don't think there's a direct flight from Manila to Guangzhou. What I would suggest is take the Manila-HK flight via PAL. Avoid the peak seasons such as the Chinese New Year (on February) and the Mooncake Festival (on October) where the flights are more expensive.

When you get to HK, take the bus going to Sheung Shui bus station, and then take the train to the Shenzhen border. Shenzhen is the nearest city to Guangzhou (though I should say its still a pretty long distance to travel). From Shenzhen border (that's Lowu or Lou Hu), you may choose to take the bus or the train going to Guangzhou, the bus is cheaper but the train will get you there in no time. To sum up, its a 3-way travel from HK: bus-train-train/bus...

Again, prices depend on the travel dates (I believe Php20,000 should cover a Manila-HK-Guangzhou round trip, off-peak season)...You can check the links below for more information...Happy trip!
