Talk is cheap. It's easy to mouth the words "You're beautiful" or "I love you" but it's HARD to live up to that kind of talk and, from the sounds of it, he's not living up to it.
Guys do it because there are women stupid enough to settle for words and put up with that kind of behavior.
Learn the expression "Actions speak louder than words" and get him to start acting in a loving manner or dump him!!!! Men only treat us as bad as we let them, sister!

I dont understand hows he's neglecting you.
More information needed.
Most relationships don't stay in the dating stage forever they have down points my parents had a few years where they slept in the same bed and talked some but for the most part they just went to work and came home watched tv and went to bed. Then me and my sister moved out and they retired now they are like best friends and have an RV and travel the us together happily married. Theyve been together 37 years now.
My advice talk, take a vacation together to get away and really think about what he has done that is so wrong.. We dont have a bunch of info but you know all the bad stuff so we cant help you with that. There will be ups and downs the people that last 40 50 years in one marriage are the ones that learn to not only get past that uforia love stage but learn to just want that other person around even though he farts in his sleep and eats all your favorite cookies eventhough you tell him not to. lol

It sounds like you may each be speaking a different language of love.
For some people it is important to say the words and for others it is important to "walk the talk."
You might benifit from the information presented by Dr. Gary Chapman.
He talks about how there are five different ways we show our love.
Words of Affirmation
Quality Time
Gifts
Acts of Service
Physical Touch
He may really think he is letting you know he loves you, but because you have a different indicator you don't feel love.
Check out Dr. Chapman's website for some good info.
Harville Hendrix is also a good source for relationship help.
best,

I've got the same kond of problem with my guy. His actions never seem to match up with his words. I know he struggles with physically expressing his feelings. I think they just don't take the time to understand what it is women need and want out of relationships. I really thinks he doesn't do it on purpose, he just doesn't know. Good luck trying to get him to learn. I haven't figured that out yet.

The word neglect does not mean paying attention to --and that is what your husband is doing by giving you compliments and other words of endearment--

perhaps... he doesn't realize he's neglecting you...
Perhaps you could "help him out" on ways a husband could treat a wife who he loves so much and thinks is beautiful..
Tell him - Don't tell me... show me.

Maybe he has a medical condition that causes him to have a low libido. He should see a urologist and have his testosterone checked. If everything checks out physically maybe some therapy is in order.
