Because dumb people in the US are easily offended and like to shut up those they disagree with completely,
they are intolerant of others beliefs, closed minded and not seeking to learn.

I wish you could hear my sigh of exasperation. I don't know what it was that you wanted to ask, so I can't comment for certain, but it must have been something that was extremely insensitive, because I've had people say and ask some pretty awful things without censure. Perhaps the language barrier made the question sound more callous than it really was. I hardly think it is fair however, to make the generalization that if something bad happens "in USA u all close your eyes." Perhaps yahoo just didn't want to be held accountable for something you said and the backlash that followed from people who perhaps lost children and don't want to talk about it or see the nonsensical answers that not-so-innocent folk post. I do wish I knew what your question was so that I could answer this particular question more adequately. Just beware of making such rash generalizations. We're not ostriches, so putting our heads in the sand doesn't make us feel more secure at all. Perhaps you should reasses your original question and think about your wording and how you might ask something comprable with an appropriate level of sensitivity for the victims of heinous crimes. Don't you remember the fallout from Prince Harry's halloween costume as a Nazi? Europeans didn't think that was very appropriate. Is there such thing as the right not to be offended? No. And it would be impossible to even begin to approach such an idea, as offense is all very personal. However, the attempt to take the feelings of other people into account isn't a bad idea all around, whether at work or in your personal relationships. Sometimes excessive censorship, as a result of this good-intentioned idea, does occur. Not knowing your question, I cannot say for sure whether this was inappropriate censorship, or whether your question truly crossed a line.

Are you talking about Columbine? It is a sore subject with a lot of people if that is the event you are talking about. I don't think anyone has closed their eyes to it. If anything it has opened a lot of peoples eyes to protecting their kids. If you want to know anything about it you can go on the web and there are a lot of articles there that you can read about it. Your making a big assumption that it was an American that erased your question.
They have a memorial service every year at Columbine to remember all those who were lost on that day. They have yet to hold school on that day. It was a sad day for a lot of Americans. I don't think their eyes are closed I just think that it is still very hard for some people to talk about what happened. There is still a big hole in their hearts from their loss.
What happened at Columbine happens all over not just in the USA!!!

Its not exactly a problem with Americans....it's more a problem with people controlling their feelings. Because that was such a horrible event, people feel very strongly about it, and it gets them really upset. So, rather than get really upset, they take the much more self destructive path of ignoring it.
Please, please don't lump all americans together and label them as....whatever. We aren't all bad. Just a lot of us are bad. And we don't like those bad people. But we continue to be americans, and I'd prefer to not be hated by the international community for being one.

Yahoo considers that to be against community guidelines. I'll bet they pulled it themselves. I've asked similar questions and they too were pulled almost immediately. They classify that kind of question as chatting. I can't see why anyone would report it. It's very unlikely that Americans would gang up on anyone. Honey, this is a country where it all hangs out.

Because child molesters ask people where they're from, and any self-respecting social web company is going to do their best to protect children. Obviously innocent people like you will get caught in the crossfire, but that's the reality of the world.

Or of only Americans.
