They got kicked out ... permanently. Likely they were much better behaved than kids these days. School was more a luxury choice than mandatory. If they were in school... they wanted to be and had the good fortune to be there. Therefore they wanted to learn.

The boys were taken outside and shot.

The girls were told to carry on being bad and to meet the headmaster round the back of the bicycle shed at 7pm
