vain is like you're Narsasistic. You're always loving how you look and can't stop looking at yourself. That's different than just being concerned about your personal apperance

vain is caring about your looks alot... well, not really anymore. our society is so devolved, vain is the staple of our culture.. I enjoy looking in the miror, but don't consider myself vain. Vain is flaunting your looks, and think you're so hot and sneering at everyone who's not. Vain is not seeing reality. Vain is Judah Gabriel Dumont. vain is caring only about yourself and flaunting yourself and being cocky and ignoring how butt-ugly you really are.

key word is excessive. The definition of "excessive" is ALWAYS subjective. Is someone who get 14 plastic surgeries vain? Is someone who gets 1 vain? Who knows?

Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works; shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works IS DEAD? Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? Seest thus how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?"

There are different degrees of vainety, but what your speaking of I believe is someone who thinks of their looks first and foremost , a person that gets but of looks and knows it. Its more of an attitude I would say.

Thinking how special and beautiful they are to themself than others. Thinking very highly of themself and have very high opinions of themself. Constantly praising themself what wonderful they are and what they have done for themself.
