Could be the wash water was too Hot.

I suggest you follow the garment care instructions on the label to prevent future laundry mistakes.

Cotton shrinks. Always hang jeans and t-shirts up if you don't want them to shrink. I am not sure why this is, it just is. I have to hang 1/2 my hubby and I's clothes up because of this issue. But hey...I guess it's good in a way! It saves on the electric bills! haha

Make sure you are washing them in the proper water heat and then invest in a folding rack for air drying. I added a link to one that is at Target. I hope this helps.

Everything is true what has been said. Now if you don't want to do the air drying and it is a brand you have experience with you can buy it a size larger for the shrinkage. Of course not a solution for tailored fit items.

wash and then hang dry...it's the dryer that is shrinking your clothes
