The best bet is to take it to a winshield shop.I have had the same problem nothing worked except whatever they used.Cost 10 bucks.

Super glue isn't up to that job. Try the proper glue again. Make sure the surface is completely clean and dry and use it when the temperature is high enough to let it cure completely. That's hard to manage in wet or cold weather, so put it in the garage if you have to. Just glue the holder into place and slot the mirror back in it AFTER the stated curing time. Putting it back in too soon strains the seal. That's usually why it fails.

Yea, it should work, I have done it before. Just make sure you clean the surface with alchohal.
I have used those kits before and the key is making sure both the metal piece that attatches to the glass and the glass its self is perfectly clean. A matter of fact I think they even provide you with some cleaning solution to prep the surface.
You might want to go to another store and pick up a different kit made by another manufacture. I had the same problem till I went and bought another kit from another auto parts store that actually worked :)

I just fixed my mirrow a few days ago, and I went to AutoZone, they had a cheap (4 dollar ) package that worked
Dont use Superglue!

It won't hurt, it just won't work well. Rear view mirrors are mounted by a 2-part epoxy for the stronger hold.

No don't, Go to auto parts store and buy the right type and go by the directions be sure to clean windshield real good, that's main idea

IT WON'T HOLD.
WAL MART SELLS A KIT THAT WORKS REAL GOOD.
I USED IT MYSELF.
LOOK IN THE AUTOMOTIVE SECTION.
