In my opinion, TEXAS!!! By a longshot. I guess it's a blend of southern hospitality, Texas pride and hard work, and western relaxism. What a great state!
Others might include South Carolina, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia (outside Atlanta), North Carolina (away from the cities), and Tennessee (south of I-40).
BTW, I live in the midwest (Kentucky, to be exact.) FULL OF JERKS!

I lived in Houston for nearly 2 years and I have never in my life met the rudest, meanest, nastiest people in the world. For example: this woman dialed my cell # (she had the wrong #) and started yelling at me. I was at the grocery store and people were mad because the lines were too long. I can go on and on.....thank god there's a way out of Texas. Sorry to sound mean to anyone there, but I couldn't take it.

north carolina cities are filled with rude new yorkers now who have come here and flooded us over the last five years, but I live in cary and we are very nice

I live in TX now yep they're nice but alot are dumb ignorant racist asses. Out of any state I have always thought Tennessee because when I was driving through on my way to rude Florida the men opened all doors, called you sweetie and hon it was so nice. They do that in TX but only the perverts mostly

girls in louisiana are snobs. i've been to texas and met a lot of friendly people. some seemed really phony though. but i guess i'll say texas...i'm talking about austin,tx though..
