Well it all depends if there was a fault near by which would determine the intensity of an earthquake. If it was by an ocean and it was a severe earthquake, a tsunami could occur. But if the earthquake was severe in the forest, trees would fall. I would go with the forest because there are supplies in there which could be helpful if stuck.

It would depend which is closer to a fault line. If the house in the forest is closer, it'd be more damaged than the one by the ocean. Also the structure of the house comes into play, and the foundations of the house. Just given that the one near the ocean is more likely to be near a fault, and more likely to submit to liquefaction, I would say the house on the ocean.

it would have to be an ocean because when you are by water your house could get damaged by falling in the water if it was a bad earthquake but it is pretty bad both no matter how you put it.

Well, if the house is directly on the beach, then it would be on pillars and that would be bad. both can be damaged by the actual quake, but the forest has trees that will fall on the home as well. It is, however more likely on have an earthquake on a beach.

ocean hurricanes would cause more damage as the swells would wipe away the land the same applies for an earthquake because its below sea level

depends? if the house is surrounded by trees then the house will get more damaged, but if the house is really close to the water the soil might colllapse from under the house and move towards the water. i have seen this happen on tv, when the houses are on the hills looking over the water
