Would it be wrong to invite my once close friend to my wedding but not include her in the ceramony?

We used to be best friends from 4th to about 10th grade, and now we barely talk. I want to invite her to the wedding but i do not necessarily want her to be in it. I mean i still like her as a person but my brides maids are going to be people i am really close to. Me and her have just become acquaintances.

It's not rude. You can't put everybody yo know in your wedding.
