Is a 80 coil crib mattress good for baby or should I get one with 150 coils?

I'd say its quite suitable.

80 is good enough. Trust me don't spend a fortune on baby items. They really know how to stick it to naive first time parents. After you have more kids you get wise to this. The baby will be out of the crib in no time save the extra money for the mattress for his first bed, he will use that a lot longer.
