I have this friend who always ask me to hang out but then never calls or follows though when the day comes to get together.. he does this over and over..I would have dump him along time ago, but I have known him for 13 years..and in the last few years of our friendship he has become a major flake...should I dump the kid anyway..and what if he came back around.. after some time would you trust that he really would want to hang out?

The next time he asks you to go somewhere tell him no and if he begs just keep saying no because hes always flaking and eventually if he doesnt want to lose you as a friend he'll start or he might start to clean up his act but dont be mean or rude.

Ask him why he never shows or calls on "hang out" day. I would not make anymore plans with him until he shows you a reason that you should Sounds as if he makes plans, then maybe something better comes along, and he forgets what he was supposed to be doing. Find a new friend.

Crap alright! get a new one. Make no more further arrangements with the old one, drop all contact. He will only treat you this way if you keep allowing him too.
