In a class of 38 students,32 are wearing jeans,21 are wearing t-shirts, 15 are wearing both. How many are wearing jeans and something else?(had to switch them not enough space in question) .:the answer in book says 17 students but how did you get it?:.

ok since there are 32 wearing jeans, and 15 are wearing jeans and a t-shirt, you have to x out the ones that have a t shirt. so you do 32-15 and that leaves you with 17!

32 students are wearing jeans
15 students are wearing jeans and t-shirts
subtract
17 students are wearing jeans but not t-shirts
