I choose to do this issue for my essay as homework, and I need help coming up with ideas of how it was wrong.
First, I know that the American public was lied to, no WMP were found, and Iraqs previous regieme had no connections with Al Quada.

I have evidence to prove it true. You deny it, I understand why because of fear of the unknown that your own gov could have done such things

We started a war with a country that had not attacked us or any other country, on trumped up evidence which was known by Mr. Bush to be false. One of his motivations was that Itaq had exposed the fact that his father is stupid, and guess what happened...

First of all, The United States supplied Iraq with chemical and biological weapons during Iraq's standoff with Iran, a nation the US dislikes.

Second of all, Bush's government lied to Americans and to the rest of the world when it presented its defence for the war. Remember all those stockpiles of weapons that Colin Powell showed the United Nations when he spoke? What happened to them? President Bush has admitted that the intelligence he used was not backed by real data.

When the United States went into war, it had no plan. Iraqis who used to have electricity, water and AC when Saddam was in power had none of those for months. Chaos ensued when the US came in.

Today, Bush defends his war by saying "we can not back out now" But it was he who got us into war.

Another thing- billions of dollars have gone into this war. The world is not a safer place because even more people in the Muslim world now hate America because of all the Iraqis it has killed. The billions of dollars could have been used to better our country. Instead, its being spent on a needless war.

The reputation of America has faded drastically. People the world over view the US as a bully thats out to get them. There are so many other nations that are more harmful than Iraq ever was. Pakistan has nuclear weapons. It is the biggest terrorist hub in the world. The guy who made Pakistan's nuclear weapons sold some in the black market, which means that terrorists could already have them. Iran also has developed weapons. North Korea tested its own nukes few months ago. All these countries could have been good targets, but Iraq did not need to be bombed.

Lastly, more US Soldiers have died in the War in Iraq than the people who died in the World Trade Center on September 11. Basically, Bush has killed more Americans than Osama has.

Oh yea, and that guy Osama (the actual guy whos responsible for Sept 11) he still hasn't been caught and no one is looking.

Invading Afghanistan replaced into IMHO justifiable. the individuals who had perpetrated the 9/11 assaults have been working out of that us of a curiously with the whole help of the government there. The execution of that attempt although replaced into appallingly inept. on the grounds that we screwed up A-stan yet needed to divert interest far flung from that certainty and because particular persons further back from the lifeless from a prior administration had an awl to grind and percieved we had unfinished employer in Iraq, we've been on condition that canine and pony coach. So as a replace of scuffling with a conflict on terror we enable the terrorists pass in A-stan - and function stopped even attempting to locate Bin encumbered. Then we spent a trillion funds and four,000+ American lives (and probable 100k Iraqi lives) to coach Iraq into the worlds best terrorist preparation camp. staggering.

What a loaded question. Hopefully this assignment will force you to realize that even your teacher has political views that he/she is subversively hiding from you.

Do you KNOW the American public was lied to, or were you just told that? What was the lie, exactly? Remember, bipartisan US intelligence pegged Saddam as having WMDs at the time of the war. Democrats are backpedaling because they oppose wars, but they believed it at the time!

I think if you want the challenge here, you'll go against your teacher's wishes and research how close we were to the perfect war!

Although I believed it was right for the United States of America and her allies to go into Iraq; therefore, I cannot tell you why it was wrong to attack Iraq. However, I am going to leave you with a message by Simon Wiesenthal. Wiesenthal was a Holocaust Survivor and during his lifetime was a Human Rights activist. This is his belief on the United States of America going in to remove Saddam Hussein from power:

“The allies do not seek to conquer Iraq but rather Iraq but rather to confront a dictator who has used weapons of mass destructions and committed genocide against his own people. Adolf Hitler came to power in 1933, but for six years the world did not act. Has he been taken seriously then, the lives of innocent millions may have been spared."

I hope that is message from Wiesenthal is helpful for your report.

Did the Iraq people invite us over? Did they cry out to us for help? There are oppressive, tyranical leaders worldwide, why not invade them? Hmm "what would we get out of invading say North Korea?" "what would we get out of invading Iraq?" what are they number 3 on the list of top oil countrys? (thats a guess) Im saying we need oil, but why lie about it? just say, "we need oil, we don't like Iraq, we are going to invade them to take there oil" than maybe the soldiers would fight with more passion, if there wasn't confusion as to what they are there for.

1st you need to look at the issue without bias. For even if you reach the conclusion that it was a mistake you won't use those stupid cliche reasons like "war for oil" or "Bush lied, people died" Find some real logistical reason. The reasons for the war are far more complex than you seem to realize. Be more than just a slogan parrot... do some research.

This is another example of liberal teachers indoctrinating our students. I am a student and I have seen it. They only give their liberal point of view, never the other side.

It wasn't wrong to invade Iraq, President Bush invaded Iraq to protect us from nuclear threat. Sadam Hussein refused United Nations inspections for nuclear weapons for years, we all thought there were nuclear bombs over there, check the record, Democrat Bill Clinton did also.

Also note there has been no further terrorist activities in the U.S., no further loss of life and you can thank President Bush for your safety.

If your teacher didn't like politics she would have asked "Was it wrong to Invade Iraq?" Not "Why was it wrong to Invade Iraq?" The question suggests Bias. Again we all thought the murderous Sadam had the weapons, Sadam did a good job of convincing us of that by violating 13 U.N. sanctions and refusing to let the U.N. time and time again, this dragged on for so long. Should we have waited until he sent one over and bombed our grade schools and our homes and communities? I don't think so. In the process we removed a man who killed thousands of his own people by gasing them and shooting them he was brutal.

P.S. We all look up to our parents and some of our teachers, but maybe it's time to look at facts and figure out what you think instead of just repeating what others think. THe fact that you don't have enough facts to support your view and write your report tells me you made up your mind on this issue before you had sufficient facts.
