You can try but I highly recommend not too, since manufacturers put the kind that your CPU understands I'm pretty sure it wont understands others. For example I had a Compaq 5BW137, with 64MB PC100MHz SDRAM, I tried upgrading it to a 256MB PC133MHz SDRAM, but my CPU and OS wouldn't recognize it. So with that I tried a 128MB PC100MHz SDRAM, and it understood it completly. So I recommend upgrade your computer's RAM with the same type (speed and model) except with more RAM than your original chip. But I warn you do not increase your RAM over your CPU speed, for example, do not put more than 800MB of RAM on a 800MHz CPU, or else your motherboard/memory may burn since the memory wants more info from the CPU to store, but the CPU is unable to give it to them.

Yes. Regardless of using PC2700, the notebook will probably only run at 266Mhz anyway.
