You would need to know all 3 numbers - to find the total volume of dirt needed to be moved. 4 x 20 x 30 = 2400 cubic yards. You will also need to know the volume of one truckload. Then just divide the 2400 by the vol of the truck.

Multiply and figure the yard's removed..A 10 wheeler holds 10-12 yards..........a tri-axal will take 12-15 yards....A 30 yard dump trailer, obviosly, will take 30 yards...Get out your pencil . Lenght X width X height( depth).......I forgot the little trucks, 6 wheel dump, they carry from 6-8 yards...
