The acid itself is clear; however, if you puke it up it usually has bile mixed in wihich gives it a yellowish appearance and a realy nasty, bitter taste....ewwww.

The acid in stomach is hydrochloric acid, which is colourless. I'd expect you threw up some jumba juice ^^ NB: the yellow colour in the stomach is bile NOT the acid.

Judging from the stomach contents when I puke, it is a yellowish color

Depends on how much you have been vomiting and for how long.
Yellowish then after everything is out and you continue to vomit bile-then it is green
