well that is a little iffy. first a female would have to know exactly when she ovulated to know for sure, implantation takes place 5-7 days after conception sometimes sooner and sometimes later so maybe if a women did conceive and the egg implanted 5 days afterwards then it might have given off enough of the HCG hormone to read a positive on a home pregnancy test. Unfortunately not all women are that lucky, most of us can test a couple days before the next anticipated period and get a positive others have to wait a week or longer to get a positive and some just don't get positives and it only shows up on a blood test. Good question

This is very true if you chart your basal body temperature every morning and write in down. If you do starting the first day of your period or after you will notice a shift from what seems to be your normal temperature and if it stays elevated for more that 18 days past ovulation you are pregnant, some women (if they know their luteal phase length) can tell as early as 12 dpo, 13 dpo, or so on.

They (experts) say it's best to wait till the day you're expecting your period. If you have the patience to wait longer, all the better (although this is very hard if you're actively trying to get pregnant!!). Alternatively, if you're really keen on finding out you could get a blood test which apparently can tell you if you're pregnant 8-10 days past ovulation. Good luck :)

According to the home pregnancy tests who claim to give reliable results 4 days before your period is due, the earliest you can test is 10 days after ovulation.
