I know that my computer can handle AGP. But now we have video cards that are made for AGP4x and AGP8x. How do I know if my computer can handle these cards?

AGP8x card is backwards compatible with AGP4X. AGP8x card will run at 4X in AGP4X slot.

check ur motherboard specs from the manufactures site
